A scalable agro‑processing expansion project increasing production capacity, improving rural incomes, and enabling export‑ready food products.
The Kalubre Agro‑Processing Expansion Initiative aims to upgrade existing milling and oil‑pressing facilities, introduce new packaging lines, and establish a cold‑chain distribution system. The project will support over 2,000 smallholder farmers through guaranteed off‑take agreements and capacity‑building programs.
The expansion includes:
– Installation of a 20‑ton/day maize milling line
– Addition of a 10‑ton/day sunflower oil extraction unit
– Construction of a 1,200‑ton climate‑controlled warehouse
– Deployment of solar‑powered processing equipment
– Certification for export (ISO 22000 & HACCP)
- Climate variability affecting raw material supply - Foreign currency fluctuations - Certification delays - Logistics disruptions during peak seasons
